Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete the data associated with Surplus. It applies to the Surplus apps on iOS and Android.

Your data is on your device

Surplus stores your weight log, calorie and macro targets, daily checklist, food entries, streak, and stats locally on your phone. It uses a Firebase account identifier only to authenticate you and recognize your subscription.

Delete everything

To permanently remove all Surplus data:

Uninstall the app. Removing Surplus deletes all on-device data (weight log, targets, checklist, food entries, streak, and stats) immediately.
Request account deletion. To delete the account identifier tied to your sign-in, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is not retained on our servers

Your weight log, food entries, and stats are never uploaded in normal use.
AI meal inputs you choose to send are processed by our AI gateway and not stored afterward — they are not retained on our servers once your meal suggestion is returned.
We do not sell your data or use your content to train AI models.

Subscriptions

Deleting app data does not cancel a Surplus Pro subscription. Cancel it through the App Store (iPhone → Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
