Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete the data associated with Cairn. It applies to the Cairn apps on iOS and Android.

Your data is on your device

Cairn stores your sober start date, check-ins, streak, stats, milestones, and journal entries locally on your phone. Cairn does not require a name, email, or phone number — it uses only an anonymous account identifier so optional AI reflections can be authenticated.

Delete everything

To permanently remove all Cairn data:

Uninstall the app. Removing Cairn deletes all on-device data (start date, check-ins, streak, stats, milestones, and journal entries) immediately.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is not retained on our servers

Your journal entries and stats are never uploaded in normal use.
Reflection text you choose to send is processed by our AI gateway and not stored afterward — it is not retained on our servers once the reflection is returned.
The anonymous account identifier contains no personal information about you.
We do not sell your data or use your content to train AI models.

Subscriptions

Deleting app data does not cancel a Cairn Pro subscription. Cancel it through the App Store (iPhone → Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
